Skin Radiance Zeolite Mask (100g jar)
A totally new and unique cleansing product utilising zeolite’s natural ability to absorb and purify. This all natural mask deeply cleanses and detoxifies the skin. The zeolite concentrate, the bentonite and kaolin clays, act together to give the mask exceptional absorbent qualities which are then able to draw out impurities in and on the skin, The zeolite, utilising its renown ‘cation exchange capacity’ exchanges minerals and nutrients into the skin whilst absorbing from the skin its contaminating pollutants, impurities and toxins which have accumulated over time in the skin’s surface layers.
The mask is a super absorbent and gentle exfoliator, hydrating and softening the skin while removing dead skin cells. This action helps to unclog pores, reduce bacteria and nourish, tone and heal on and below the skin’s surface.
It has anti-ageing properties through its natural beta-carotenes which mop-up free radicals and speed up the cell renewal process by thickening the outer skin layers and retarding the free radical damage to elasticity and collagen structures within the skin. It produces a cooling and calming sensation which assists in reducing redness and relieves skin irritations. The skin will feel like it is being toned and tightened.
After treatment, dull skin will be smoother, feel cleaner and look clearer, Use the face mask in conjunction with our Seaweed Extract Lotion for a perfect skin treatment. The mask is suitable for all skin types and should be used particularly for the face, neck, and shoulder areas.
HOW TO USE
Thoroughly clean and then wet the skin area to be treated. Apply the masque with the fingers over the pre-wet area so that the skin is completely covered by the mask. Check by using a mirror. Try to keep the mask away from your eyes. It will not damage the eyes but if accidently inserted into the eyes it may sting a little and feel gritty. If this occurs simply wash the eyes in clean water and any uncomfortable sensations will reduce and then disappear.
If to be used over larger areas it may be easier to treat several smaller areas one after another. Let the mask slowly dry on the skin. There will be a distinct sensation of the skin tightening as the mask dries out. Once the mask is completely dry, leave on the skin for a further ten to fifteen minutes.
After ten to fifteen minutes gently removed the mask using wet fingertips and/or a wash cloth. Again be careful of eye areas. Due to the submicronisation of the zeolite concentrate, the mask contains no harsh granules which may abrade the skin’s surface. Once the mask is completely removed wash the area with clean water and pat dry. The skin will feel smoother, cleaner, softer and have a radiance about it.
The treatment may be repeated once a week. The skin radiance zeolite mask comes in a 100g screw top jar. Simply store at room temperature.

Iluminesse®
Skin Radiance Seaweed Extract Lotion (50ml Pump)
A beautiful skin radiance lotion in a 50ml Pump with its main active ingredient a seaweed extract of marine polyphenols from naturally grown and harvested brown algae ecklonia cava kjellman, (‘the Extract’). This deep penetrating, moisturising lotion leaves your skin soft, supple and radiant. It can be used twice daily and/or after Iluminesse mask applications.
The seaweed used in our lotion grows naturally around parts of Tasmania and southern New Zealand. A similar species of seaweed grows in Korea and northern Japan and has been widely eaten safely there by people of both countries for over two hundred years.
HOW TO USE
Clean the area where the Extract lotion will be applied to. You can apply the Lotion once or twice a day to cracked, dry or blemished skin. The moisturising Lotion is particularly effective when used in conjunction with our Iluminesse deep cleansing Mask.
The Lotion comes in a 50ml pop up airless pump in a silver tube. Simply turn the top. The pump will rise in the centre of the tube . Keep turning until it clicks into place. Then press the pump to receive a measured dose of the Lotion. To close the pump simply turn the top the opposite way. The pump will recede back into the tube. Avoid contact with the eyes as the Lotion may sting for a short time. If contact is made with the eyes, just wash the eyes in cold water. Store the pump at room temperature.

Protection of Skin Matrix Proteins
Tests have shown that the various species of algae extract sustains the structural quality of the surface skin and the underlying layers which are a prerequisite in the skin healing process. This feature is very important in the protection from wrinkle formation, retention of moisture and maintaining a healthy barrier against infection and excessive immunological responses.
Elastase Inhibition testing have shown that the Extract supports the structural strength and resilience of the skin, moisturising and protecting the skin’s tensile strength. Its Hyaluronidase inhibition shows it supports retention of skin moisture and it holds in check or reduces, a number of allergic reactions.
Protection of Chronic Inflammation
Chronic (constantly recurring over a long period) inflammation causes the premature skin aging and the perpetuation of many skin diseases, skin tissue damage and reduces damaged skin cell growth. Elimination of chronic inflammation is essential in the skin healing process by enabling the skin tissue to be in the best possible condition to sustain cell renewal.
The Korean extract effectively broke down the cycle of chronic inflammation by suppression of the master switches of inflammation, transcription factors NF-kB and AP-1, suppression of inflammatory mediator COX-2 by 70% and the reduction of oxidation stress.
Promotion of Blood Circulation
This feature is important in homeostasis (maintaining one’s normal balance or equilibrium) and regeneration of the skin. It is also important in the breakdown of fibrin which is found in blood and blood clots. This is achieved through its reduction of the growth of plasmin, an enzyme that creates fibrin in the blood and body. The Extract causes the blood vessels to expend because it reduces the production of angiotensin, a peptide capable of causing blood vessels to contract which can cause a rise in blood pressure.
Anti-allergic Effects
The Extract displayed some anti-allergic effects which are important in the control of skin diseases caused by immunological imbalances. Diseases such as atopic dermatitis and common aspects of allergic asthma and rhinitis. Testing conducted in Korea, has shown a dramatic suppression (almost eliminates) the pathologic manifestation of allergen-induced asthma. It also has some suppression effects on some histamines associated with certain allergens.
Protection from Sunlight induced Pigmentation and Damages
Tests again conducted on a similar species of the extract, have been shown to suppress Tyrosinase. Tyrosinase is an enzyme that is a catalyst in the conversion of tyrosine (an amino acid) to the pigment melanin. If melanin is produced in excess it can lead to certain skin diseases and melanomas.
Tests have shown that the extract prevented skin carcinogenesis over a 26 week UVB exposure trial. It reduced tumour multiplicity by up to 60% and their volumes by up to 43% and it suppressed cell hyper-proliferation by up to 50%.
Protection from Oxidative Stress
The Extract has shown that it offers some general protection for skin cell mitochrondira note 1, for DNA deterioration and for maintaining functional and structural proteins. These all affect the anti-aging of the skin matrix, the suppression of free-radical induced cross-linking and the breakdown of matrix fibres within the skin. These are paramount in the breaking of the cycle of skin aging and development of various skin diseases.
Antimicrobial Activities
There are many bacterial infections that are found in the skin. Straphylococcus aureus is a serious infectious bacterium often involved in the aggravation of various skin diseases as well as a fast and virulent invader of any cuts, grazes and blemishes such as dermatitis and acne. It is also associated with pimples, impetigo, boils, cellulitis, folliculitis, furuncles, carbuncles and abscesses. Studies have shown that the extract has shown anti-bacterial activities 10 to 20 times faster than catechins. Catechins are the antioxidant found in the great abundance in the leaves of the tea plant camellia sinensis. In smaller amounts, they are also found in some other foods such as red wine, chocolate, berries, and apples.
Note 1 – Mitochondria
The mitochondria are round ‘tube-like’ organelles that are surrounded by a double membrane. An organelle is a specialized subunit within a cell that has a specific function. Individual organelles are usually separately enclosed within their own lipid bilayers (a jelly like substance). Mitochondria are often referred to as the powerhouses of the cells. They generate the energy that our cells need to do their jobs.
Mitochondria float freely throughout the cell. Some cells have several thousand mitochondria while others have none. Muscle cells need a lot of energy so they have loads of mitochondria. Neurons (cells that transmit nerve impulses) don’t need as many. If a cell feels it is not getting enough energy to survive, more mitochondria can be created. Sometimes a mitochondria can grow larger or combine with other mitochondria. It all depends on the needs of the cell.
Mitochondria generate chemical energy, similar to the type of energy you get from a battery. The energy made by the mitochondria is in the form of a chemical called adenosine triphosphate or ATP for short. ATP is a form of energy that every cell in our body can use and it keeps us alive.

Skin Radiance Vitamin C Serum (30ml Pump)
Vitamins have long been known for their vital role in human health in all parts of the body, including the skin. Some vitamins, such as vitamins A and F (pantothenic acid), can not only be ingested, but can also be applied directly to the skin to protect its structure or help prevent premature aging.
Consumers already know the beneficial effects of L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) when ingested. The problem of using vitamin C in cosmetics is its instability when exposes to oxygen. When exposed to air it rapidly oxides and turns a dirty brown colour. This is the reason vitamin C is not commonly used in cosmetic products even though cosmetic manufacturers are aware of vitamin C’s beneficial effects as an antioxidant, a collagen booster and as a skin lightener.
The Iluminesse Vitamin C Serum is a dramatic breakthrough in cosmetic technology. The Serum utilises a new, chemically stabilised form of L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) which has been submicronised and added into capric/caprylic triglycerides forming a very smooth creamy mixture which retains its molecule structure.
In skin care applications capric/caprylic triglycerides offer several key benefits:
- they offer a noticeable silkiness in products,
- they exhibit excellent anti-oxidant properties to extend a product’s natural shelf life,
- they offer skin nurturing benefits due to the skin loving nature of the specific fatty acid esters not seen with common fractionated coconut oil or other carrier oils, and
- they are especially suited to sensitive skin and oily skin.
The Serum is a water free composition and has been stability tested at ambient temperature for 24 months showing no signs of deterioration during this period.
HOW TO USE
Apply a small amount of Serum to any blemish or dark spot and rub well into the skin to form a dry film over the area. Repeat if necessary.

Oxidative Damage Prevention
Stabilised vitamin C assists in alleviating oxidative stress on the skin. Lipid peroxidation induced by UV light leads to the formation of peroxide radicals along the side chains of polyunsatured fatty acids and lipids. A single initiating even can lead to many cycles of peroxidation leading to breakdown products that damage skin DNA or protein.
Collagen Synthesis Stimulation
It is well documented that skin fibroblasts synthesise less collagen as they age. Vitamin C counteracts this decline in two ways,
- it is an essential cofactor in the hydroxylation of lysine and proline (both essential amino acids that occur in proteins), which are essential to the stability of collagen, and
- it stimulates the synthesis of collagen, thus reaching a major target of many skin care cosmetics by delaying chronic aging of the skin.
Skin Lightening
The Serum is very effective in treating sun-spots, freckles and hyper pigmentation particularly those that are associated with aging. Stabilized Vitamin C can also be used to smooth the skin by removing some of the dead and damaged skin cells. Although there are already finished products on the market containing up to 20.0% vitamin C, our product is sub-micronised and was developed specifically for this type of application. The sub-micronisation process gives the Serum a much larger surface area making it far more effective at active surface contact.
